Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on 7 7 of December 1973 to Mr. and Mrs. Tim Oyakhilome, as the first son of the family. Following his primary and secondary education, he went to Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma (Edo State), Nigeria, where was awarded an BSc. in Architecture.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome delved into ministry while he was still a student at AAU. The Believers LoveWorld Fellowship (now Believers LoveWorld Incorporated) was then known as Youths For Christ.
YFC grew quickly and became the largest campus organization. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the church's headquarters. Believer's LoveWorld, a worldwide ministry that has millions upon millions of members around the globe, is now called Believers LoveWorld.
Through the"Atmosphere of Miracles" series, BLW became Africa's most well-known Christian ministry on television. They stopped airing it in May 2004 when the president Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria announced that churches should cease broadcasting miracles.
